Summary Identify, develop, and maintain positive relationships with customers. Secure purchase orders resulting in profitable business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following: ∑ Develop customer contacts and acquire profitable business. ∑ Manage customer interface primarily on commercial issues ∑ Obtain market intelligence and funnel back to organization. ∑ Provide input into the development of annual sales targets and sales forecasts for operational planning purposes. ∑ Develop and implement sales strategies and marketing strategies enabling our client to better utilize it Customer Development resources in achieving itís goal. ∑ Monitor economic and market trends impacting our client's product portfolio ∑ Write quotes, monitor status, and follow-up with customers to maximize quote hit rates ∑ Assist in the development of channel strategies ∑ Provide input in the development of system and procedures for the Customer Development function. Ensure compliance to ISO 9000 requirements. ∑ Additional assignments as necessary Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. ∑ Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. ∑ Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. ∑ Other Skills and Abilities Superior interpersonal skills required. Ability to utilize marketing data to develop account strategies. Excellent communication and leadership skills required. Plastics knowlwdge is required.
