The Custom Reporting Programmer is responsible for developing client deliverables through implementation and maintenance of client portal sites, data management, data visualization application delivery and development of client specific custom applications. Responsibilities: •Participate in requirement gathering, technical design and specifications writing •Responsible for the development, test, debugging, release, and maintenance of dashboards and scorecard reports for current and future clients. •Perform complex subsystem level unit, integration, and development tests; and Identify and resolve problems found during verification testing •Ability to work as project team member, work effectively with team leads, manager, as well as other groups including QA, Operations, Client Management and Product Management •Experience designing and implementing interactive data visualizations, and other user interface elements. •Turn data into clear visualizations that would provide end-users an ability to view related data in new and innovative ways •Experience with OOP, SOA, SQL, BI and Analytics •Build, test, and deploy controlled releases of software. •Work with Business Analysts and Quality Control teams on test process, validation, and release processes •Work with team on the efficient use visualization tools and how those technologies can be applied to effective data visualization applications •Experience working win an Agile Scrum development environment •Create custom reports and applications for clients. •Write systems documentation as necessary. •Maintains and modifies existing applications programs. Qualifications: •Must have a BA/BS degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. •Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML and mySQL •Experience in User interface design and development on Liferay or similar portal platform •Experience in front end, module development using velocity templates & themes and fusion charts •Experience in various web development frameworks and methodologies •Java/J2EE,Spring MVC •Experience in charting and reporting web components •Knowledge of Struts framework •Knowledge of CVS or any configuration management software •Must have solid time management and organization skills. •Must have an attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through skills. •Must be able to manage multiple competing priorities. •Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access). •Willingness to work late or unconventional hours to meet occasional pressing deadlines.
