Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Controls Engineer opening to join our Engineering and Technology organization. The Senior Controls Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of robust electrical control systems that integrate seamlessly into new or existing consumer products. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop new and innovative features that delight our customers. You will be the key focal point for specifying software and/or hardware solutions, developing algorithms that provide superior customer benefits, and thoroughly testing the overall system. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to grow your systems engineering, embedded design, and project management skills while working with a world class controls team. •Work with marketing to develop a controls system that meets the marketing feature, cost, & quality requirements •Ensure that the controls system meets the regulatory & PALO testing requirements •Generate and release engineering drawings, specifications, test plans, FMEAs, and Engineering Change Notices •Present the project in the Controls Robust Product Design Reviews and Technical Design Previews •Work with the global controls organization and global electronics organization to release all parts on-time •Develop algorithms and mathematical models relating Loads, Sensors, and Drivers so as to ensure Stable, Predictable, & Consistent performance of the entire system, within and beyond specified design limits. •Work with and support Advanced Development & Research group to integrate and commercialize advanced technology and or evolve existing technologies to meet "stretch" targets •Apply Six Sigma tools and logical problem solving methodologies •Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering •5+ years of experience •Project management experience is a highly desired •Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project , and general computer/communication systems •Good written and verbal communication •Dynamic self-starter with solid decision making capability •Capability to work across functional boundaries to solve problems. •Ability to travel to other client or Supplier operations in the US, Mexico, and abroad.
