Program Manager - Automotive The Program Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects, meeting customer demands, achieving overall project timing, and meeting financial targets. You will be required to lead a project team from development through to series production. You will be the primary point of communication between the customer and the project team. Job Functions Work together with internal management teams and customer management teams to plan, develop, control and direct the projects. Ensure the on time delivery of the product, which exceeds quality standards, to the customer. Work across functions to insure on time delivery of products that meet quality standards. Coordinate ongoing analyses of projects and development activities to identify cost saving opportunities, quality improvements, and process improvements. Support sales teams in presenting new technologies and products to existing customers and current products to potential new customers. Provide technical direction and serve as the point of contact for design engineering and process/manufacturing engineering. Learn and use the client Product Development Process. Plan programs with multiple technical components, track budgets and timelines, and prepare/ present status reports for management. Required Skills and Knowledge Mechanical /Plastics/Injection Molding(preferred) design/development skills. Automotive industry experience. North American (Ford ) preferred and German OEM's is only a plus. Ability to manage projects, including planning and organization, decision making, problem solving, work delegation, and employee development. Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Email, MRP software and PLM software is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Strong Presentations skills. Must be able to present to large and small groups including project teams, management and customers. Basic accounting and budgetary skills. Foreign language (German/Spanish) is only a plus. Plastics and/or injection molding experience would be ideal. Knowledge of Ford would be a plus. Travel This position requires the ability to travel domestically and internationall up to 20-30% of the time, depending on project timeline.
